Privacy Policy

Overview

Hyprcore is an AI-powered dictation and meeting recorder for macOS. This policy explains what data Hyprcore collects, how it is processed, and how cloud features like team sharing and sync work.

Data We Collect

Account information: When you create a Hyprcore account, we collect your email address, name, and payment information (processed by our payment provider). Team accounts also store team membership and roles.

Meeting data: Transcriptions, summaries, action items, and metadata from your meetings are stored locally on your device and synced to our cloud servers for sharing and cross-device access.

Dictation data: Dictation text is processed locally using on-device speech models. Dictation content is not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly share it.

Local Processing

Speech-to-text processing for dictation uses local AI models that run on your Mac, leveraging GPU acceleration. Audio for dictation is processed entirely on-device and is not sent to any server.

• Dictation audio capture and processing: on-device only
• Local speech recognition: on-device AI models (Whisper, Parakeet, etc.)
• Knowledge Base indexing and search: on-device

Cloud Storage & Sharing

Hyprcore uses cloud storage to enable team sharing, cross-device sync, and collaboration features. The following data is stored on our servers:

• Meeting transcriptions and summaries: Uploaded to our servers so you and your team can access them from any device.
• Shared content: When you share a meeting with your team, transcripts, summaries, and action items are made available to team members you specify.
• Cloud STT providers: When using cloud speech-to-text for meetings (Deepgram, Groq), audio is streamed from your device directly to the provider. Hyprcore does not store meeting audio on our servers.

All data transmitted to our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).

Third-Party Services

Hyprcore integrates with third-party services for enhanced functionality. Each provider has its own privacy policy:

• Deepgram — cloud speech-to-text
• Groq — cloud speech-to-text
• Anthropic (Claude) — LLM post-processing for summaries
• OpenAI (GPT) — LLM post-processing for summaries
• Google (Gemini) — LLM post-processing for summaries
• Meta (Llama) — LLM post-processing for summaries

When you use these services, your data is sent directly to the provider according to their terms. You can choose which providers to use in Hyprcore's settings.

Analytics

Our website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and is fully GDPR compliant. No personal data is collected.

The desktop application may collect anonymous usage analytics (e.g., feature usage, crash reports) to help us improve the product. This can be disabled in settings.

Data Retention

Local data is retained on your machine until you delete it. Cloud data (meeting transcriptions, summaries, shared content) is retained for the duration of your account. If you delete your account, cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Shared content that has been accessed by team members may be retained in their accounts.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time. You can export all your data from within the Hyprcore app. To delete your account and all associated cloud data, contact us or use the account deletion option in settings.

Children

Hyprcore is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the application and our website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
