Recording questions.
What is the difference between a recording and a meeting?
A meeting is a call with other people, matched to a calendar event and summarized around decisions and action items. A recording is you on your own — a screen walkthrough or a spoken note — summarized into chapters and a written document instead. Both land as pages in the same tree.
Do I need to give screen recording permission?
Only for screen capture. Audio-only recordings need the microphone and nothing else, which is why they are the easy option on a locked-down work Mac.
Can I edit the document it writes?
Yes — it is an ordinary page in your wiki, in the same editor as everything else. The transcript and the video stay attached, so you can fix the write-up without losing what was actually said.
Where do the files live?
In your vault, as plain files — a folder holding the video, the transcript and the page. Nothing is locked in a proprietary store, and it backs up the way the rest of your disk does.
