Where to use Hyprcore
Dictation is system-wide, so there is nothing to install per app — a keyboard shortcut types into whatever field has focus. These pages are about what actually changes in each one.
Messaging
- SlackSlack rewards speed, which is why so much of it is one-line replies that create a follow-up question. Dictation gets you the fuller version in about the same time.
- iMessageMost of the replies you owe people are not difficult. They are just longer than you feel like typing. Said out loud, they take about fifteen seconds.
AI assistant
Development
- CursorThe prompts that get good results from Cursor are the ones with reproduction steps in them, and those are precisely the prompts nobody enjoys typing.
- VS CodeNobody should be saying "open curly brace" out loud. The writing around the code is a different question, and there is far more of it than most of us admit.
Project management
Notes
- Apple NotesApple Notes is the fastest place on a Mac to put something before you lose it. Dictation removes what is left of the gap between having the thought and having it written down.
- ObsidianYour vault is plain markdown sitting on your own disk. Dictation should not be the one part of that stack that quietly ships your words to somebody else's server.
Documents
- NotionThe hard part of a Notion page is almost never the formatting. It is the first two hundred words, and those come out of your mouth more easily than your hands.
- Google DocsYou usually know what the document has to say. The cost is starting, and then the shape of the opening paragraph. Speaking gets past both of them.
